How to book
Eventfinda is our official ticketing partner. You can book tickets for all our shows and events online at www.eventfinda.co.nz or by phoning 0800 289 849 (BUY TIX).
To avoid disappointment, please only purchase tickets from our Box Office or Eventfinda. Tickets from unauthorised re-sellers as they may not be valid and unfortunately, we won't be able to admit you.
You can also book tickets through Baycourt’s box office which is open Tuesday to Thursday from 10am - 2pm (closed on Mondays, Fridays, weekends and public holidays). Ph (07) 577 7188.
Door sales are available from our box office one hour before each ticketed event (unless already sold out). Our box office also sells tickets for other events held around Aotearoa where Eventfinda is the ticketing provider. Come and see our friendly team today.
Choosing your seats
Our shows and events are often reserved (allocated) seating, but some may be general admission (GA) which means you can choose where to sit when you arrive. If reserved seating is available you’ll be able to choose your seat(s) during the booking process.
The Addison Theatre provides wonderful views and excellent acoustics from anywhere in our 500+ seat theatre. If you’re after a little extra leg room, Row F is the place to be. View the Addison Theatre floor plan (514kb pdf).
The X Space is a flexible, multi-purpose venue with a range of different seating layouts. You’ll be shown the seating options when you book your ticket unless it’s a GA.
Group bookings
Planning a night out with friends or whānau? Some shows offer group discounts, so gather your crew and make an occasion of it!
Booking and transaction fees
A small booking fee is added to each ticket to help cover the cost of our services. This fee is proportionate to the ticket price, and is automatically calculated for you.

To see a detailed description of what fees you’re paying when booking online, simply hover over the ‘i’ button on the booking page and the information will pop up for you.
A transaction fee of 2.5% will also be charged if you pay by credit card. You can avoid this by paying with a debit or EFTPOS card at our box office instead.
If you buy a ticket at our box office for an Eventfinda show happening elsewhere (not Baycourt), a service fee of $2.50 incl GST per ticket will apply.
Ticket delivery and collection
When booking through Eventfinda, you’ll be given the ticket delivery options to choose from. These include mobile/e-tickets and physical tickets. E-tickets are emailed to you from Eventfinda which you can then save into your Google or Apple wallet for easy access on the day of your show.
If booking through Baycourt’s box office, your tickets can be emailed to you or collected in person (Tuesday to Thursday from 10am - 2pm) or one hour before your show begins. Please remember to bring your photo ID so we can check we’re handing them to the right person.
Gift vouchers
Looking for a great gift idea? Tickets to a Baycourt show make a memorable treat for all ages– but we know everyone’s tastes are as diverse as the performing arts themselves. That’s why we offer Baycourt gift vouchers – you deliver the treat, and they choose the show!
Vouchers are available in $50, $100, $150, and $300 amounts and can be purchased directly from Eventfinda's Baycourt page.
